Amy Yang Photography is a boutique photography studio specializing in maternity, baby, and child photography serving the Charlottesville area. Conveniently located in McIntire Plaza, the studio has been thoughtfully designed with our tiny clients in mind and is fully stocked with everything you need for your session. Our back room is filled with dozens of backdrops, hundreds of headbands and bonnets, outfits, wraps, and more.

My name is Amy and I'm a wife and mother to four awesome kids.
Noah, Lucas, and my twins Samuel and Olivia.
I love coffee, nearly any DIY project, am a chronic emoji user (I've already removed five smiley faces), AND I'm a hugger.
You've been warned.
I started down my photography path when my oldest was just a month old.
My husband was deployed and I desperately wanted to share with him images that would make him feel like he was a part of our son's first year of life.
That's still my goal today.

Your experience with Amy Yang Photography is a 3 step process.
Step one is a consultation where we will discuss your portrait experience.
Once we have selected a date, you will secure your session by paying the creative fee (please see creative fee pricing below).
Second, before your session we will discuss styling.

I only book two newborns a week to allow for flexibility.
You'll be placed on my schedule based on your actual due date, but that date may move depending on the date you actually deliver.
Because of this, it is important to get on my calendar sooner rather than later.
Newborn sessions generally take place in the first three weeks of baby's life.
We want to capture their newness and this is when they are at their curliest and snuggliest.
It's never too early, except maybe if you aren't yet pregnant.
