Services
When is the best time for maternity portraits?
6-8 weeks before your due date is the best time for maternity portraits.
Any later and you run the risk of delivering early or experiencing swelling and discomfort during the last month of your pregnancy.
When should I book a session?
It's never too early to book your session.
My schedule fills up quickly, especially weekends, so scheduling 3-4 months in advance is best.
What should I wear?
Once you have booked your session you will receive a complete preparation guide covering suggestions regarding wardrobe, makeup, and more.
If your children are under the age of 10 it is very likely they won't cooperate willingly, so it's best to just come to terms with that now!
Let go of any expectations you have of your children sitting still, looking right into the camera and giving their best smile.
The harder you push for this the less likely it's going to happen.
I was a teacher for 12 years and have two energetic boys of my own.
I've seen it all!
Don't try and force your kids into cooperating, this will only create more resistance.
I'm Sarah Kane and I have been photographing maternity, newborns and families since 2011.
It's important to me that I deliver an Experience to clients that is beyond beautiful images.
How you feel during your session will have an impact on the quality of your portraits, so keeping things relaxed and stress free is crucial!
My boys are the greatest part of my life.
They are the "why" behind my dreams and aspirations.
The reason I became a photographer is simple, it makes me happy and when I'm happy I am a better mother.
