My love for photography began with my love for music. When I first starting taking pictures I was constantly going to live shows and naturally started bringing my camera along with me. Looking back, it was such a crucial time for me in developing my craft. I taught myself to work in constant changing, low light situations and it wasn't long before I was buying nicer cameras and dropping my Biology Major to study photography in college.
At the time, it was a huge leap of faith but I'm now doing what I love and couldn't be happier. My approach to portraiture and wedding photography is a blend of documentary and fine art; observation and intent. I am involved and personal with my clients, but also a quiet observer. At times you will hardly know I am there. I am a lover of natural light and see beauty in simplicity.
I am inspired by negative space, vast landscapes, authentic moments, tiny details- anything that aids in telling a story. I would love to tell your story. I am based in Austin, Texas but am available for weddings, editorials, and portraiture worldwide.
