Being a portrait photographer, I am fortunate to be able to take a lot of pictures of my own family and children. I didn't start working as a photographer until 2008 though, and my kids were born in 2004 and 2006. I don't have professional newborn photos of my children, and that is something that I regret every day. At the time, we chose not to invest in portraits.
I look back and can remember the smell of their sweet little baby skin. I remember their tiny fingers and toes. And I have to live off of those memories because I don't have beautiful artistic portraits of them during that "brand new" phase. If I could go back, I would, and I would capture it in the printed image. You need pictures of those moments frozen in time as art that you can hold in your hands and preserve the memories in time.
Do it before they grow another inch. I love being able to capture those precious moments for my clients. I truly love being able to capture each families unique story through my camera lens. I truly believe that newborns are magical, from their tiny toes to their sweet little fingers and the whisp of hair on their heads.

Our boutique studio in Encinitas (North San Diego County) is the perfect space for capturing your newborn baby's first portraits.
Our photography studio is designed with newborn photography in mind - we are fully stocked with soft, neutral and colored blankets, wraps, headbands, hats, wood floor backdrops and tiny props to complement your newborn baby for his or her first photo shoot.
Your Luxe Newborn Photo Shoot Session will last approximately 2-3 hours in our studio.
During this time, we will take breaks as needed so that your newborn baby remains content and sleepy.
Our photography studio is designed with newborn photography in mind - we are fully stocked with soft, neutral and colored blankets, wraps, headbands, hats, wood floor backdrops and tiny props to complement your newborn baby for his or her first photo shoot.
Your Luxe Newborn Photo Shoot Session will last approximately 2-3 hours in our studio.
During this time, we will take breaks as needed so that your newborn baby remains content and sleepy.
You may choose either a studio maternity photography session in our San Diego based studio, or an outdoor maternity photo shoot session.
Both are very unique from one another, and both are very beautiful.
For those who prefer outdoors, we have several preferred locations throughout San Diego that we can recommend based on the setting that you are looking for.
Your spouse / partner can join in the session, as well as any other children that you have.
We have a collection of almost 100 beautiful and unique maternity gowns that are available for our clients to use during their maternity session.
Both are very unique from one another, and both are very beautiful.
For those who prefer outdoors, we have several preferred locations throughout San Diego that we can recommend based on the setting that you are looking for.
Your spouse / partner can join in the session, as well as any other children that you have.
We have a collection of almost 100 beautiful and unique maternity gowns that are available for our clients to use during their maternity session.
Luxe Cake Smash Sessions are one of our favorite offerings.
We shoot in three different sets and three different outfits.
We have a beautiful selection of clothing for children in 6 month size, 12 month size and 12-18 month size, and clients can choose to use our wardrobe or bring their own outfits.
We work closely with each family to come up with sets/colors/themes that fit their child's personality.
For the cake smash itself, we are more than happy to create a custom scene for you!
We also provide the cake!
