My passion for photography began as a child, after college I was a documentary photographer based in New York City. That experience and my love for children and babies have really inspired my photography, as have my young twin daughters who are a joy to document! Walking through my own home each day, I pass two large framed images of my daughters that were taken when they were 2 years old.
In my office, I have gorgeous custom photo albums, from infancy, 1 year, 2 years, and so on. In my kitchen, there is a gallery grid of nine framed images. While I have other artist's work on the walls in my home, the photos of my family are the ones that bring me joy each time I walk past.

I was born and raised in Minneapolis, lived in New York City for many years, and am now happily ensconced back in the Twin Cities as a single Mom to my amazing twin daughters.
Since I can remember, I have been passionate about photography.
From my disc film camera when I was a little kid, to my well-documented college years, as a stringer for the AP and Getty in NYC, to documenting the aftermath of 9/11.
All of this has been excellent training and experience for the work I do now as a photographer.

This is best done between 28 and 36 weeks when your belly has popped but you aren't too swollen and tired.
Gowns and fabrics are provided for the session.
I highly recommend getting hair and makeup done before the session.
Partners and children are welcome to join and be photographed as well.
All printed items, except small gift items, include the corresponding full-size digital image with a print release.
The minimum investment beyond the session fee is $500, the average investment is $1,500 or more.

The maternity session is really wonderful.
Often we don't feel our best when pregnant, but you will be amazed by the beautiful images we capture.
The best time to photograph your maternity session is at 7 months.
Please book ahead so that we can plan your wardrobe and order any additional gowns as needed.

We had seen a neighbors portrait on their wall, we had to have it. It was that impressive! We immediately asked for the photographers name. We contacted her and set up a session. We choose the Minnesota Arboretum in Chaska and the rest is history. We are the proud owners of a lifetime of memories with our ten year old Granddaughter. We actually bought four wall portraits, and an album. Lisa is that good. Prices reasonable not too expensive! Lisa is great at making children comfortable with the process. We give her our highest rating.
