Like many pre-teen girls, I didn't like the way I looked.
When I was in second grade, I had cradle cap on my eyelids, which made them look yellow and crusty.
I started wearing mascara to school, and the cradle cap went away.
I got so much positive feedback that of course, I was hooked on mascara.
I also started dancing at age 10, and we had to get glammed up for performances, which meant learning how to apply makeup.
I thought that was the coolest thing in the world.
Looking on, my mom commented, "I'm not going to spend money on this if you can do it yourself."
My husband, Michael, and I bought our first professional-quality camera years ago, when I was competing in fitness competitions and wanted to develop a portfolio of the performances.
One thing led to another, and soon, people were asking if I'd take their pictures.
Because of my experience as a performer, I know how important it is to look your best in pictures, and not like some weird, distorted version of yourself.
It's a delicate balance.
My skills as a hair stylist and makeup artist will bring out your best self, so you'll feel confident, poised, and comfortable during your photo shoot.
In June of 2015, my husband, Michael, and I photographed the wedding of Jessica and Dan Nicewonger in Long Beach, WA.
I could not be more in love with our wedding photos!
I honestly had a hard time choosing pictures to display in our home because I wanted to show them all.
I plan to print almost all of the 1,000 pictures we received for our wedding scrapbook album.
Angela and Michael make a great team.
They made everything so easy, from the first consultation to receiving the final pictures.
I wasn't super-prepared and didn't have a list of shots I wanted, but during our initial consultation and email convos, Angela asked the right questions that helped me decide what I wanted.
If you've had a family portrait taken, you've likely sighed in frustration at the results: Grandma's eyes are closed, Uncle Jim looks tipsy, and red-faced toddlers are bawling.
I believe the photo shoot should be fun, and that it should capture real family moments in an environment where you feel relaxed.
I recently accompanied a family to a local park, where I photographed their two little boys battling with Star Wars lightsabers.
Whether you want a portrait that includes the whole gang or shots of a family member celebrating a "landmark" birthday, I think you'll love our lifestyle portraits.
Have you looked at yearbook pictures of your parents or grandparents and laughed at those stiff, formal poses where all the guys wear tuxes and the girls stare sulkily over the shoulder of a formal gown?
I'm not a fan of those clonelike studio shots.
I believe your senior portraits should capture your unique energy, personality, and style.
10 hand-processed, high-resolution digital images for you to keep and use however you want.
There is an additional charge for these services, but since your kids and grandkids will likely be looking at these pictures someday, you may want to consider including hair and makeup in the mix.
