Who am I? I am the owner and primary photographer here at Poppy Studio. I am also a gardener, a motorcyclist, a swing dancer, a crazy aunt, and a mom to 2 dogs & 3 cats. Whether it's a portrait session, a wedding, or another event, I want my subjects to enjoy their experience with me and to LOVE their images. When people ask me how I became a photographer, I have to say it's the only thing I ever wanted to be, and I honestly can't imagine doing anything else.
When I have a camera in my hand, I usually have a smile on my face. I guess you could say my background is pretty old-school, photography-wise. I started working in a darkroom in college, and then moved on to work in a photography studio and spent over a dozen years working as a photo assistant for a wide variety of fashion, portrait, and product photographers in and around NYC.
Although my focus is currently on portraits & weddings, I started out as an aspiring rock photographer, shooting live concerts, publicity shots & cd covers.

My standard bar/bat packages start at 6 hours of coverage with a single photographer (me).
This 6 hours can be split into 2 segments, typically Temple & Party.
Package includes: digital images delivered on a custom USB drive, an online gallery, and a proof book OR set of 46 prints.
You may choose to add a pre-mitzvah portrait session (more on these below), extra hours, a second photographer, and an album (or 2 or 3 albums).
Please let me take this opportunity to stress the fact that I am included in all of my bar/bat mitzvah photography packages.

I am a corporate event photographer, available to photograph business seminars, meetings, conventions, and other special events in New York City, Westchester County, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

The session lasts roughly 45 minutes, and I am happy to shoot as many poses / backdrops / outfits as time allows.
During the shoot, we will stop occasionally to review the images we are getting.
The two most common backgrounds I use in the studio are grey and white.
On location, I can bring these with me, or we can use your office/home environment as the background.
Depending on the weather, we can also go outdoors for some images with buildings and/or greenery as the background.
One image of your choice is included in the session fee.
