Tori Gagne Photography
Tori Gagne was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she has a BFA in Fine Art Photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her love of photography began in grade school working with a pinhole camera and developing film in the darkroom in her family home. She was deeply influenced by her mother and brother who were both professional photographers.

She has a retired off the track thoroughbred who has led her deeper in to the magical world of the horse leading her to devote much of her work to photographing equine subjects. She has a special affinity for wild horse photography and is happiest on a dirt road in the western states seeking herds of wild horses to photograph. She also visits wild horse sanctuaries in the US to do some of her photography as well as other locations around the world.

Through her imagery of wild horses she hopes to educate and inspire others to take an interest in their plight. Pressure from ranching, politics, invasive plant species, mineral and water rights, land development and conservation put pressure on their ability to remain free on our shared public lands.

In 1971, Congress unanimously passed the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act, declaring these iconic animals to be living symbols of the historic and pioneer spirit of the West that enrich the lives of the American people and are an integral part of the natural system of the public lands.
I have spent the greatest portion of my life as a photographer traveling to photograph these iconic animals on our public lands and in sanctuaries, hoping to increase awareness of their plight.
I combine my passion for horses and my art work to bring their story to life through my imagery.
Tori loves to collaborate with designers on residential or commercial spaces, from small to larger installations customized to fit your particular vision and space.
Her work will bring your space alive with her unique vision of the natural world.
All work is archival, there are many unique substrates she can use to create a stunning one of a kind piece.

Personal work is my priority, however I do accept a limited number of private portrait commissions each year of your horse or you and your horse.
