Ryan became interested in photography in college at the University of New Mexico and began his photography career in the 80s, working for, and learning from Alain Pinto at Cold Smoke Photography in Taos Ski Valley.
I worked in Taos for several years during ski seasons and photographed weddings, special events, sporting competitions, and families the rest of the year.
I attended the Colorado Art Institute for photography in Denver soon after getting married to my wife Vickie.
Ryan and his wife Vickie owned and operated Blue Sky Images, a photography studio in Albuquerque, for 20+ years photographing everything from Presidents to newborns, including over two thousand weddings.
I worked in Taos for several years during ski seasons and photographed weddings, special events, sporting competitions, and families the rest of the year.
