We decided after the baby was born that we wanted professional photos taken to capture those smiles we seemed to keep missing with our own camera. Jessica captured special moments that we will forever cherish. I remember looking at the photos and thinking. Yes! That exactly captures our baby's personality!. What a special gift. My objective during our session is to capture those moments that we all experience, the ones when you look at your child and they make that one face and smile and you think to yourself that seriously there has never been a cuter thing in the history of the world.
Those moments as a family when you understand that you all go together so well even though at times your son seems to come from a different planet and you wonder when the mother-ship is coming back to get him.
Basically I'm trying to get as close as possible to capturing what makes your family your life.

Our session will be low-stress and fun, with a mixture of natural, candid shots and posed.
I will work hard to help you feel at ease and find those real moments that you share with your family.
Being a mother myself has given me the patience and understanding needed to photograph little ones!
For newborns this means taking lots of breaks to change diapers and eat, and for toddlers always moving, playing and keeping a cheerful positive attitude to ensure that I provide you with amazing photographs.

I come to the hospital as a guest of the family and photograph your family during my personal time.
Due to the time and distance from my home, the only NICUs I am able to provide these sessions for at this time are the following: Children's National Medical Center, Virginia Hospital Center, INOVA Fairfax.
To make room for all my clients, I can only do NICU sessions on weekdays.
NICU sessions are scheduled during my personal time and I will make every effort to be there for my NICU clients but availability is not guaranteed.
