Photography for me is the ability to capture emotion through art. I have a passion for photographing people and that is where my skill is truly shown. While I enjoy the beauty of our natural landscapes and the vibrance of the Aurora Borealis, capturing the beauty within people is where I excel. I have started to pursue photography full time, as it gives me the freedom to truly be myself and this career supports all types of creative expression.
Before becoming an artist full time, I was a teacher. Even though I no longer teach full time, my experience teaching has helped me tremendously with my photography career. It taught me how to connect to my clients, how to soothe upset children and how to effectively teach my DSLR and Photoshop classes. I feel my experience as an educator has helped me as a business owner and with connecting to the community.
