I thrift. I regularly burn things in the kitchen. I am a photographer raising creatives with my gloriously bearded husband in New York's capital region. Photography has always been apart of who I am. I first began formal studies in 1998 driving my Chevy Chevette back and forth to photography classes three towns over. I went on to study photography at Hallmark Institute of Photography and later became a proud member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association and The Artistic Guild of the WPJA.
I've always found myself most at home with artists, and love photographing their processes and spaces. I also adore completely non-traditional weddings, film processing, and dark rooms. My favorite movie scene is in Down by Law. Tom Waits, Roberto Benigni, and John Lurie sing in a prison cell. It's amazing, and important that you know that. The WPJA is a professional organization composed of photojournalists and wedding photographers from around the world.
What sets our members apart in the industry is their candid, documentary approach - a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography.
