I love meeting new people and bonding with other mommies over the joys and complexities of motherhood and family life. My husband's job leads us to move every few years so I am always looking to connect with others, whether it's through photography, our local church, or out and about! After teaching high school Spanish and Home Economics for nearly a decade, I feel so lucky to not only be able to stay home with my own children but also to get to have a creative outlet through photography.
While neither of my jobs (as a mommy or as a photographer) are always easy, I absolutely love them and can't imagine doing anything else. I am a full-time mama, wife, and homeschool teacher and a part-time photographer. Because each photo session requires countless hours of work before, during, and after, session availability is extremely limited to ensure the important people in my life get the attention they deserve.
I currently book several months in advance but am able to occasionally squeeze in a last-minute session so please don't hesitate to contact me for session availability.

Services
It is never too early to book your newborn session!
Newborn sessions are my priority but my calendar fills quickly.
It is best to contact me in your second trimester or early third trimester to be placed on my newborn calendar to ensure a spot.
For a successful newborn session, please plan for your session to take place during the first 3-10 days after birth to help ensure a sleepy, flexible baby.
When you book your session, I will tentatively plan for it to take place shortly after your due date (babies sometimes come early or late so I always maintain flexibility in my scheduling).

In addition to newborn sessions, I also offer a sitting up session (generally from 6-9 months but varies from baby to baby) and a one-year-old birthday session with cake smash and bubble bath.
I do not currently offer sessions for babies that cannot sit up unassisted (with the exception of newborns, which are done 3-10 days after birth).
Please bring all clothing and accessory options that you think might work and we can choose which will produce the best results.
I can provide outfits upon request.

Maternity sessions are only available when booked in conjunction with a newborn session--perfect for families looking for a consistent look in their portraits.
This is a great time to pamper yourself and have your hair and makeup professionally done before your session.
You will need nude seamless maternity underwear and a well-fitting, supportive nude strapless bra for most maternity gowns.
Don't forget those little details! Make sure hands are manicured, skin is moisturized, eyebrows are groomed, legs are shaved, hairbands and watches are removed from wrists, etc.! Be careful to avoid too much sun exposure and fake tans before your session as well.

I have watched my children grow so quickly and feel a sense of urgency to record and capture as many memories as possible.
When my second daughter was just a few months old, I was reminded of how quickly that newborn stage goes by.
You're paying for beautifully lit, meticulously styled, expertly posed, and professionally edited images.
Each newborn photo represents countless hours learning posing and soothing techniques and many hours spent designing beautiful setups for each session that will photograph well.
