I am a New Orleans photographer who specializes in weddings, portraits, and other events throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. I began my business as a professional wedding photographer in 2005, and have photographed almost 700 weddings, numerous other events, and many engagement and bridal portrait sessions. Photography is my full-time occupation, not a side-job, and weddings and other events represent the vast majority of my work.
I also enjoy shooting family portraits and seniors. Before starting my photography business, I worked for over 12 years in the advertising graphics field, primarily performing imaging-related work such as graphic design, photo scanning, and photo color correction.
At the time I started photographing weddings, digital had begun to take over as a viable alternative to film, and my years of experience and familiarity with digital imaging carried over into my photography work and enabled me to immediately be comfortable with the technical aspects of digital photography, making it easier to concentrate my efforts on creating beautiful pictures and wedding albums for my couples.

This gallery consists of some of my favorite photos of my couples in their wedding attire.
Some were just quick, impromptu shots captured during the couple's first look or just during the natural course of the wedding day, while others were taken during time specifically set aside for this purpose before or after the ceremony, or during the reception.
Having a first look on the wedding day, where the couple sees each other prior to the ceremony, is also a great opportunity to capture some wonderful and memorable images of that emotional moment, and also often helps to more easily facilitate portraits of the couple, since we can then do those before the ceremony (and not have to worry about missing a portion of the reception).

While photographs can be captured of the bride by herself on the day of the wedding, a bridal portrait session allows for a wider variety of pictures with more location flexibility, looser time constraints, and a more relaxed mindset than the wedding day would typically allow.
That being said, while some of the photographs in this gallery were taken during a separate bridal portrait session, others were taken on the wedding day, just prior to or after the ceremony.
