I've been photographing weddings for over 10 years. After graduating college, I started out as an assistant to another wedding photographer (I was like the 3rd assistant) and moved up the line as 2nd shooter to the main photographer. I still appreciate that time so much since I learned a great deal from this mentor. I've also been a mentor to others along the way and it is such a rewarding experience.
I'm a big fan of continuing education and feel that no one is ever done learning. My husband, Matt, is also a photographer! We photograph weddings together. Actually, there was this AMAZING opportunity to shoot a wedding in Italy 4 years ago and I just threw him into and said "follow the light and trust your instincts"- I don't even know what that means, but he figured it out and shot some great stuff!
Matt also does video too and we just started offering a highlight reel for weddings (so ask me about that). I truly love what I do! Photographing these moments that you care about is what I care about.

We just spent the evening in Louisville with Meagan taking our engagement photos, and what a nice, friendly, professional, easy going person she is!
She made us feel so comfortable and went above and beyond just taking pictures.
We had a blast.
I will forever cherish the photos Meagan Jordan took of my family.
I met Meagan nearly a decade ago and was immediately taken with the emotion she was able to capture in her documentary work, so it was no surprise to me when she later expanded upon her photo-journalistic style to include family portraiture.

I received my BFA in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008 then went on to photograph bands for a while, and I ended up being a 2nd shooter on weddings for another photographer for about 1.5 years.
I love capturing real, candid moments.
So I work in a semi-photojournalistic way, in the sense that I like to be hands-off for the most part.
I also love connecting and joke around a ton, which means you get the best of both worlds!
I enjoy capturing the details as well, it helps bring the whole wedding come together when edited, to tell your story.
