Thanks for stopping by. Just in case you were wondering Sunshine Winters is actually my real name. My parents aren't hippies but I was born in the 70's when it was all about peace, love and Sunshine. LOL. I'm a Texas girl, born and raised. I studied photography at the Art Institute of Houston, then moved to NYC to follow my dreams and work in the photo industry.
I started my career working in a 3-D photo lab, managed a photography studio in Soho, worked behind the scenes at a top photo agency and then freelanced as a photo assistant to some very talented fashion, music and travel photographers. I gained priceless experiences during this time in NY. After witnessing 9/11, I decided I wanted to be closer to my family here in Houston.
I began working as a wedding photographer and I absolutely loved it! I loved the fashion, all the different the cultures and documenting the ever changing scenarios. In 2014, we started our family and my weekends became about spending time with my family, so I decided to focus primarily on business headshots and corporate events.
